Where every meal tells a story
Welcome to STORIES Bistro, where brunch is more than a meal. Brunch is a celebration of local flavors, clean ingredients, and heartfelt hospitality. Nestled in the historic Anthem STORIES venue, our in-house dining experience offers guests a thoughtful menu rooted in craftsmanship, community, and culinary creativity.
We believe in honoring our region’s bounty and the people behind it. That’s why our kitchen proudly features:
- Pasture-raised eggs
- Nitrate-free bacon
- Locally sourced produce, dairy, and honey
- House-made breads, jams, sauces & pickles
- No seed oils, ever
- Beef tallow for cooking — a traditional, nutrient-rich fat we use to prepare our herbed breakfast potatoes and other savory items, adding depth of flavor while honoring time-honored techniques
We partner with Texas farmers and makers to bring you a menu that reflects both tradition and innovation, because every plate deserves to have a story worth sharing.

Waco’s favorite Brunch Spot

“This unique little brunch spot was the best find! Don’t let the historic/ multi-use space fool you from the outside. This place is a must visit. I got the STORIES Sunrise Sandwich with a side of potatoes. Great buttered sourdough, house made pickles, and super cool purple potatoes. The iced Honey Vanilla Latte was delicious and well crafted. The service was excellent for even our group of 10.”

“The food was so dang hot. My wife and I both enjoyed it. I liked having healthy options for breakfast, and the vegetarian omelet with a side salad and potatoes was a great way to start the day. My wife really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich. The coffee is very good and it’s my new go to spot. Awesome atmosphere too!”

“I absolutely love this coffee place. The open atmosphere, the friendly, fast service, and the coffee are all great. I’ve tried many coffee places in town and Bru has always been at the top of the list for me. The coffee is so flavorful. Highly recommend.”

“Bru Artisan Coffee Works has a wonderful atmosphere and truly outstanding service. The staff were phenomenal, and we loved the openness and feel of the new location — it’s a welcoming, thoughtfully designed space. I really appreciate that they roast their own coffee, and I’d absolutely recommend trying them out. I would definitely give them another visit.”
